George A. Fisher

George A. Fisher, 80, of Lake Hauto, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, July 6, 2008, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Sandra (Danner) Fisher, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. He was born February 22, 1928 in Allentown,PA. George was the son of the late Andrew Fisher and Mamie (Fisher) Dell. He served in the Navy during the WWII and Korean era. George worked as an assembler at Western Electric's Allentown Works, later Lucent Technologies, retiring in 1989. He especially enjoyed bowling, fishing and spending time with his wife and family at the lake.
Survivors: Wife; four sons, Gregg Fisher and his wife Valerie of Fountain Hill, Glenn Fisher of Glendale, Az., Jay Fisher of Allentown, Timothy Fisher and his wife Jenna Rascavage of Tamaqua; two daughters, Janine Giambalvo and her husband Michael of York, Melissa Borden and her husband Michael of Tamaqua; brother Donald Fisher and wife Deborah; sister Doris Guldner wife of the late Charles Guldner; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Sterling Danner of Orlando, Fla. and sister-in-law Patricia Makos of Bethlehem.
Services: Memorial services will be held 11:00am Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Emmanuels Lutheran Church (Emmanuelsville), 3175 Valley View Drive, Bath, PA 18014; 610-837-1741. with Rev. Elizabeth Mitchell officiating.
