Dr., George Walter Andersen, DO, 82 years of age of South Lehigh Gorge Drive, Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on Monday, October 8, 2018, at home.
Survived by his beloved wife Carol (French) Andersen; sister, Gladys Kraker of Richard Hill, Ontario.
Born Friday, January 29, 1937 in Staten Island, New York the son of the late Goodwin, and Gertrude (Olsen) Andersen. He was also predeceased by his sister, Gail Andersen.
A graduate of Greater New York Academy, Woodside, Long Island he matriculated to Atlantic College, and earned his Osteopathic of Medicine degree in Kansas City. Dr. Anderson served as Medical Director of Weather wood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and operated a private practice in Weatherly for thirty-five years.
Dr. Andersen enjoyed swimming and the companionship of Golden Retriever, and faithful friend Gala.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. (570) 427-4231.
Graveside Services will take place on Friday October 12, 2108 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Union Cemetery, Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
