Gary F Terwilliger, age 69, of Martha Lane, Jim Thorpe, formerly of Long Island, NY, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at St Lukes Miners Memorial in Coaldale.
He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He worked for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the state of New York.
Gary graduated from high school in Liverpool, NY. He enjoyed visiting casinos and he was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman.
He was Methodist by faith.
Born in Syracuse, NY on June 4, 1947, he was the son of the late Stanley C. Terwilliger and the late Wava (Jacobs) Terwilliger.He is survived by hisDaughters,Jill Vanderbeek wife of Jimmy of Long Island, NY;Kristine erwilliger of New Jersey;Sisters,Loretta Theleman wife of Robert of Marathon, NY;Adela Phoenix wife of James of NY;Susanne E Mims wife of Jack of Macclenny, FL;Four Grandchildren;Sister-in-law,Joanne Cook, wife of his late brother, Darryl Cook, with whom he resided in Jim Thorpe.
Private Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
