Gary Russell Gerber, age 67, of Stoney Lane, New Ringgold, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at home in the care of his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Renee L. (Kleckner) Gerber.
Gary was a Vietnam Army Veteran.
He had worked for Pennsylvania Steel of Hamburg for 10 years. For the past 33 years, Gary was a master carpenter. He retired in June 2007 from Rich Maid Kabinetry of Myerstown, PA, where he held the position of C.E.O.
He was a member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn.
Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed woodworking and adored spending time with his grandchildren.
Born in Pottsville on October 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Russell L. Gerber and the late Hattie E. (Malone) Gerber.

Jean O. Kleckner of New Ringgold;
Sister-in-law,
Jean M. Gerber of Orwigsburg;
Loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long time friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth K. Gerber on 1-10-2013.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, PA where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2015.
Funeral service with Military Honors will be at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2015, Rev. James Fidler of Faith Reformed U.C.C., Landingville to officiate.
Private Interment.
