Franklin R. Womer, 80 of Mush Dahl Road, New Ringgold, died on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospice in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Widower of Elizabeth A. (Bachman) Womer, who died in 1983.

Born Sunday, May 7, 1933 in New Ringgold, he was the son of the late Elbert, and Katie (Daubenspeck) Womer.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, Franklin had worked as a bus driver for the Northwestern Lehigh School District. Franklin was an accomplished musician, having accompanied many professional acts who played at Ontelaunee Park, New Tripoli. He was skilled in playing the Banjo, Steel Guitar, Mandolin, and Piano.

Diane M. Womer;

Son;

Kevin F. Womer, both residing in New Ringgold;

Sisters,

Mrs. Pauline R. Achey of Schuylkill Haven,

Mrs. Helen M. Moser of New Tripoli;

Brother,

Paul Womer of Kempton;

Many nieces and nephews survive Franklin.

The Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 2066 West Penn Pike New Ringgold, Pa. 17960 is in charge of arrangements.

A Funeral service will be at 11 o'clock AM on Wednesday April 16, 2014 from Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.

Interment will be in Zion 's Union Stone Church Cemetery, R.D.#2 New Ringgold, PA.
