Francis M. "Spirit" Inama, husband, father, son and brother, age 54, of Lake Hauto, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, upon arrival at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center in Coaldale.
Fran, known as Frank to many friends and co-workers, is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Kathy (Lane) Inama.
A 1977 Tamaqua Area High School graduate, Spirit was a standout football player and track athlete.
Upon graduation, Fran worked at the former Zapata Manufacturing, J.E. Morgan Knitting, and, most recently, at Air Products & Chemicals in the Hometown Plant. His co-workers will remember him as a hard working and talented mechanic.
A devoted father, he was a youth softball and soccer coach and guided the successful athletic careers of his two daughters.
Born in Pottsville, Fran was the son of Dorothy (Connelly) Inama of Brockton, and the late Francis "Spirit" Inama who died on March 12, 2004.
Fran is also survived by his two daughters, Nicole Inama, PharmD,
Megan Inama and her fiance Mark Streisel, all of Tamaqua;
His two sisters,
Deborah A. Wertman wife of Allen of Brockton, and Diane M. Throne, wife of Jacob of Orwigsburg;
Many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws survive him.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10 A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252.
Friends shall be received on Friday March 22, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and on Saturday morning March 23, 2013 from 8:45 A.M. to 9:30 A.M.
Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua.
