Mrs. Florence A. (Hill) Snyder, age 86, formerly of Tamaqua, died Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Mahoning Valley Nursing Home in Lehighton.
A member of St. Peter's Union Church of Mantzville, Florence had worked in the Textile Industry.
Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian (Southam) Hill.
Survived by her three grandchildren, Sheila (Trudich) Setcavage of Tamaqua, Charles Smith of Summit Hill, and Thomas Smith of Nesquehoning;
seven great grandchildren;
and two stepchildren, Daniel Snyder of Millersville and Donna (Snyder) Sellard of York, Pa.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frankin W. Snyder on March 15, 2002; son, Stephen Trudich; brother, Robert; and three sisters, Ruth E. Sell, Dorothy Vincecavage, and Margaret Wargo.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte. #309, Snyders Village, New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, January 13, 2011.
Funeral service will be at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 13, 2011, Rev. Rodney Wells officiating.
Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery of Mantzville.
