Florence T. "Flossie" Hinkle

Mrs. Florence T. "Flossie" (Oleck) Hinkle, age 79, of Rock Port Weatherly, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Hazleton General Hospital in Hazleton.

A 1949 Weatherly High School graduate, Flossie was also a member of the of the Zion Lutheran Church of Weatherly, and the church Busy Bee's.

A homemaker, Flossie was active in the L&L Fire Co. Auxiliary, delivered Meals on Wheels, and helped at the Senior Ctr..

Flossie, also participated in the Carbon County Sr. Olympics.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of Fred and Violet (Woodring) Oleck.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene H. "Champ" Hinkle;

Jeanne L. (Hinkle) Romanick wife of Dr. Bruce M. of Kulpmomt,.
Cindy J. (Hinkle) Mehalko wife of Steven of Weatherly;

One Sister,
Betty (Oleck) Fessick wife of Joe of Lake Hurst, N.J.;

One Brother,
Rev. Fred Oleck and his wife Jane of Weatherly;

Four grandchildren, Brad, Steven, Rebecca, & Sarah;
One great-grandchild, Jacob John.

Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./Sup.

Friends may call Saturday February 5, 2011 from 9:30 A.M. until time of services at 11 o'clock A.M., Rev. Douglas McKeeby officiating.

Private interment.
