Born in Plymouth, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Stanley Wilkes and the late Armita (Usilton) Wilkes.

Faith spent her early years at Scales Siding, near White Haven, where she attended a one-room schoolhouse. She later attended Ripples School, White Haven and graduated from Foster High School, Freeland in 1935.

After retiring, Faith and her husband enjoyed traveling. They toured the United States and spent their 50th anniversary in Hawaii.
A self-taught artist she had painted hundreds of oil paintings that can be found in numerous homes and businesses around the country. She was well known for her work and had exhibited her paintings in several local art shows. Other hobbies she enjoyed were playing the piano and guitar, (also self-taught), Native American history, photography, collecting rock and fossil specimens, caring for her pets and photographing the native wildlife. She also utilized her creative and artistic talents to create one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends.
