Evelyn L. Urban

Mrs. Evelyn L. (Lorah) Urban, age 79, of Rear Center Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Palmerton Hospital Blue Mt. Health Ctr. in , Palmerton surrounded by her children.

A member of Zion Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, Evelyn had worked for the former Atlas Powder Co. fo 48 years.

She was and avid sports fan, and liked to bowl.

Born in West Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late David and Mabel (Breiner) Lorah.

She is survived by her

Two Daughters,
Rose Marie "Rosie" (Urban) Risteter wife of Vince of Parryville,
Tammy L. (Urban) Steward of Tamaqua;

Two Sons,
David "Butch" P. Lorah of Lansford,
Joseph J. Urban, and his wife Sue of Jim Thorpe;

Two Sisters,
Leaffie (Lorah) Knadler wife of George of South Tamaqua,
Violet "Tootie" Snyder wife of Robert of New Tripoli;

Two Brothers,
Harrison Lorah of Harrisburg,
William "Billy" Lorah of Mechanicsburg;

Five grandchildren
Two great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by her husband Joseph John Urban on January 5, 2000, granddaughter Shannon Steward; brothers, Walter "Pit", David "Jim", Herman, Carl, and Allen Lorah; sisters Mrs. Minerva Zellner, Mrs. Messida Hamm, Miss Margaret Lorah.

Private Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
