Evelyn (Butcavage) Daukshus-Protinick, age 90, of East Broad Street Tamaqua, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp.
Widow of John J. Daukshus who died in 1967, and Michael "Putz" Protinick, who died on Sept. 27, 2007.
A 1940 Tamaqua High School graduate, Evelyn was a member of S.S. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua, active in the Rosary Society, Church Choir, and served as Past President of Ladies Auxilliary.
Evelyn worked as Floor Lady at the former Jane Ann Fashions, Seek Sect. of Coaldale.
Evelyn was an ardent Phillies, and Penn State Football fan. She especially enjoyed the comradery of the Majestic House "Koffee Klatch".
Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Witcofsky) Butcavage.
She is survived by her
One Son,
John " Jack" Daukshus and his wife Mary Jean of Tamaqua;
Two Sisters,
Alice Truskey,
Marie Sassaman both of Tamaqua;
Four grandchildren, Ann Ostergaard, Karen Kammerdiener, John E. Daukshus, and Laurie Daukshus;
Six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Rosanne Harmadi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday March 1, 2013 at 11 o'clock A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252, Rev. William Linkchorst to officiate.
Friends shall be received from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc.
