Mrs. Evelyn Irene (Gould) Balliet, age 87, of Coaldale, Pa., died Friday, April 29, 2011, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale.

A homemaker, Evelyn, was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Coaldale. She has served as Deaconess, and on the church board. Evelyn particiapated in the Women's Class of the church, having served as Past President, and Secretary.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Elsie (Baker) Gould.

She is survived by her

One Daughter,
Yvonne (Balliet) Onushco of Tamaqua;

Two Sons,
Warren Balliet, Jr. and his wife Eleanor of Lansford,
Dennis A. Balliet and his wife June of Milnesville;

One Sister,
Jean (Gould) Conrad of Philadelphia,

Three grandchildren, Brian C., and his finacee Lisa Stone, Jeff S., and Mark R. "Bucky" Onushco;
One great-grandchild;

Many nieces and nephews;

Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Warren G. Balliet, Sr., in 2000; sisters, Mrs. Helen Williams, Mrs. Thelma Boyer; brother Robert Gould.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,

Friends may call Tuesday May 3, 2011 from 9:30 A.M. unitl time of Services at 11 o'clock A.M. at the First Congregational Church 128 Ruddle St., Coaldale, Pa. 18218, Rev, Dr. Wayne Benack officiating.

Interment will be at Sky-View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.

Memorials in her care to the Church, or St. Luke's Hospice 777 Blakeslee Blvd, East Suite #6 Lehhighton, Pa. 18235.
