Mrs. Estela (Caballero) Swanson, age 94, of New Ringgold, died Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Weatherwood Nursing Home, Weatherly, Pa.
She was the widow of Lyle Swanson who passed away April 12, 2010.
Estela had been a kindergarten teacher in Mexico and later held several office worker positions.
Born in Chihuahua, Chih, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Vicente Caballero and the late Hilbria Olivas Caballero.
She is survived by her
One Step-Daughter,
Donna Hooser of Kentucky;
One Step-Son,
Gary Swanson of Norwalk, CA;
Daughter-in-law,
Cheryl Swanson of New Ringgold;
Two Brothers,
Vicente A Caballero of Mexico and Humberto Caballero of San Diego, CA;
Thirteen grandchildren;
Many Great Grandchildren and Great Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her step-son, Ronald Swanson on 7-5-2010; step-daughters, Judy Stratton and Bonnie Swanson; sisters, Gloria Munoz and Margarita DeCobos; Great-Grandson, Caleb Grimm in 1995.
Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa.
Memorial Service will be on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11 o'clock AM at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa., with a talk by David Parks, Jr. Calling hours 10AM until time of service.
Private Interment at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
