Erma Evelyn Warne, 90 years of age of Summer Valley Road, New Ringgold, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Widow of Clayton S. Warne who passed away on December 21 2000, she is survived by her grandson and care giver Joshua Warne and his wife Bridget of New Ringgold; great grandchildren, Alexus, and Evelyn.
A member of the former West Penn Immanuel United Methodist Church of New Ringgold she now worships at Reynolds United Methodist Church. Erma had worked for the former J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills, and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Peter's Retiree's of Tamaqua, St. John's Retiree's of New Mahoning, New Ringgold Seniors and Andreas Fire Company Auxillary, West Penn Lionette's and served on the Election Board of West Penn Township.
Born Thursday, October 15, 1925 in West Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Ivan C., and Rosy (Bailey) Wertman. Erma was also predeceased by a son, David M. Warne in 1992.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pennsylvania 17960. (570) 386-5884.
Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday March 24, 2016 at 11 o'clock A.M, Rev. Gary Snyder to officiate.
Friends shall be received on the morning of March 24, 2016 from 9:30 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Odd Fellows, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
