Mrs. Emma (Englehart) Halechko, age 80, of Lehigh Gorge Dr., Weatherly died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at St. Luke's Manor, Hazleton.
She was the former tax collector for Buck Mt. in Weatherly and previously worked at Wrights Knitting Mills, Hazleton, Pa.
Emma was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church of Weatherly.
Born in Weatherly, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Emma (Pascoe) Englehart.
She is survived by her
daughter, Letha (Halechko) Hoffman wife of Bruce of Weatherly
sisters, Lillian Ritter of Sun City, CA and Thelma Elflein wife of Charles of Phoenix, AZ
two granddaughters and one great-grandson.
Preceded in death by her husband in 2002, William J. "Shorty" Halechko; son, William J. "Luke" Halechko in 1985; brothers, Henry and Lester Englehart; and sister, Bernice Bolish.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home 211 First St., Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D. Supervisor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. 318 Plane St., Weatherly, Pa. Reverend Floyd Caesar officiating. Calling hours from 9:30-11:00 A.M. at the church.
Interment at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
