Eloise J (Lutz) Hunt, age 75, of Owl Creek Rd., Tamaqua, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert J. Hunt.
Eloise graduated from Cooper Township High School and then matriculated to Lock Haven Teachers' College earning her Bachelor's degree. She taught in the Tyrone School District before teaching Eighth Grade English in the Tamaqua Area School District from 1968 until her retirement in 2000.
Eloise was Protestant by faith. She enjoyed reading, gardening and bird watching.
Born in Philipsburg, Pa. on September 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Lucille (Walker) Lutz.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by herSister,Margaret Jacobson wife of Jeffrey of Olympia, WA;Brothers,Earl Lutz and his wife Lorraine of Lemont, Pa.;Barrett Lutz of Strasburg, Pa.;Jerome E Lutz and his wife Suzanne of State College, Pa.;David Lutz and his wife Mary Ann of Allentown;Thirteen Nieces and Nephews;Twenty Great Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Howe.
Private Arrangements have been entruated to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
Private Interment will be at Messiah Baptisit Church Cemetery, Kylertown.
