Eloise Eleanor Kistler Hinterleiter was born February 9, 1930, a life-long resident of Weatherly passed away Wed. April 17, 2013 at Weatherwood in Weatherly.
Born in Weatherly, she was the daughter of Lulu G. Kistler and raised by Henry and Minnie Weicker.
Mrs. Hinterleiter married Charles "Gene" Hinterleiter on September 20,1952. They were married for 48 years when he passed away in 2001.
Mrs. Hinterleiter graduated from Weatherly Area High School in 1948 and the McCann School of Business in 1949.
She was a 45 year employee of the Weatherly Borough Government, first serving as borough clerk and most recently as borough secretary.
An active member of Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church in Weatherly where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years, served as secretary of the Church Council and was a member of the Altar Guild serving on the Flower and Baptism Committees as well as coordinating the Assisting Ministers and Greeters Schedules.
Eloise was a member of the Weatherly Area High School Alumni Association, Weatherly Events Committee and was committed to community service by volunteering in numerous organizations over the years.
For her 80th birthday, her co-workers at the Borough Office held a surprise party for her. She received a House of Representatives Citation from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania signed by State Representative Keith McCall.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Charles Hinterleiter, and a sister, Eleanor Weicker Hinkle.

Daughter, Lori Kimball, and son-in-law John, of Leesburg, Virginia;
Son, Karl Hinterleiter of Weatherly;
Grandson, Robert Keller of Hazleton;
Cousin Cecie Kistler Evans (David) of Mayfield, NY;
Nephew, Todd A. Gimbi of Weatherly;
Brother-in-law William Hinterleiter of Wallington, New Jersey;
Sister-in-law Doreen Moser and husband Robert of Red Hill, Nephew Clifford Moser and his wife Maryanne of Perkasie;
Nieces, Bonnie Meade and her husband Michael of Lansdale,
Patricia Daddario and her husband Rocco of Bally; Nancy Taylor and her husband Paul of Olympia, WA; Jodi Williams and her husband Donte' of Telford; and Cynthia Kmetz and her husband Gerald.
Mrs. Hinterleiter enjoyed spending time with her family and was passionate about her job, her church, and the numerous homeless animals that found their way to her.
Funeral Services will be held Sat. April 20, 2013 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Zions Lutheran Church, 335 Third Street, Weatherly, Rev. Dawn Richie to officiate.
Friends shall be received from Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street Weatherly, on Friday afternoon from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., and from 6 to 8:00 P.M.
Freinds may call again on Sat. Morning from Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church from 10:00 A.m. until time of service.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
