Mrs. Ellen L (Traynor) Moore, age 93, of Weatherly, Pa., died Monday, October 11, 2010 at her residence.
Ellen had been employed at Sears in the purchasing dept. and at Weatherwood Nursing Home as a dietary aide.
She was a member of Faith Assembly of God, Hazleton, Pa. and the Weatherly Senior Citizen's.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Traynor and the late Rebecca (Peoples) Traynor.
She is survived by her
son-in-law, Paul Katona and his wife Carolyn with whom she resided
grandchildren, Ellen Ferra, Rebecca wife of Lou Mastroddi, Paul Katona Jr. and Lisa Startzel
great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kevin, Kalista, Erika, Savannah, Louis, Anthony, Kathy Ann, Stephanie, Paul III, Jerry, Richard, Brianna, Zachary, and Blaise.
Preceded in death by her husband, Edward Moore, on 9-4-2000; daughter, Carol Katona, her only child who passed on 7-21-2006
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./Supervisor where the family will receive friends on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 6-8PM and on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 10-11AM.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 11:00AM at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, Reverend Arthur Riddle officiating.
Interment at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
