Mrs. Elizabeth L. "Lee" (Bubel) Kostin, age 85, of Lewis Street Brockton, Pa., died Saturday, October 2, 2010, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.
Mrs. Kostin, is a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua, and was a graduate of the former Blythe Township High School.
She owned and operated Kostin's Notary of Tamaqua for 65 years.
Born in Brockton, She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Bresnie) Bubel.
She is survived by her
Nephew, whom she raised as a son after the death of his mother Francis D. Bubel and his wife Linda of Huntingdon Valley, Pa.
Two Sisters,
Mary (Bubel) Morgan,and
Theresa (Bubel) Pilo of Brockton;
One Brother,
John F. Bubel and his wife Florence of Tamaqua;
Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Kostin in 1994; brothers, Joe, and Michael Bubel; sisters, Veronica A. Bubel, O.S.F., and Mrs. Helen Protivnak;
Many nieces, and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 5, 2010 and from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM Wednesday, October 6, 2010.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church of 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 6, 2010, Rev. William Linkchorst officiating.
Interment will be at St. Bartholomews R.C.C. Cemetery of Brockton.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Tamaqua/Carbon American Cancer Society, Ridge Street Lansford, Pa. 18232.
