Elizabeth Kanyak, 90 years of age, of West Main Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on Monday, July 26, 2021, upon arrival at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest Blvd. Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Born Thursday, April 16, 1931 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Michael, and Elizabeth (Lengen) Kohut. Elizabeth was also predeceased by her beloved husband, John Thomas Kanyak; sister, Evelyn Kohut; brothers, Joseph, John, Michael, and Robert Kohut.
A member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. of Weatherly, Elizabeth retired from Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly. Elizabeth was an accomplished seamstress..
Surviving are sons, Michael J. Kanyak and his wife, Gerry of Lakeland, FL, Thomas J. Kanyak of Swoyersville; daughter, Karen K. Antolick of Hazleton; sisters, Anna Bishop and her husband, James of Weston, Helen DeBias of Sugar Loaf Twp.; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
