Mr. Eli P. Cresina, age 86, of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Tamaqua, Pa., died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nev.
A 1942 Frackvile High School graduate, Eli served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War.
Retiring from PP&L in 1986 after 33 years, Eli was a Line Crew Leader. Eli, was a member of the Tamaqua American Legion, Tamaqua Elks, and a volunteer for Tamaqua Meals on Wheels.
Born in Frackville, he was the son of the late Peter and Fannie (Horwat) Cresina.

Lee Ann (Cresina) Brill wife of Michael of Henderson, Nev, with whom he resided since 2008.

Preceded in death by his wife, Marie Anita (Ksanznak) Cresina, R.N., who died December 7, 1985; brothers, Peter, Michael, William, and John Cresina; sisters, Mrs. Ann Houser, Mrs. Mary Snyder, and Mrs. Pearl Hardinger.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2011 and from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM Saturday, June 25, 2011.
Prayer Service, Friday evening from the funeral home at 7 o'clock P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated will be at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2011, Rev. William Linkchorst to officiate.
Interment with Military Honors, will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
