Eleanora L. Baker

Eleanora L. Baker, 96 years of age of Ridge Road, Andreas, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Blue Mountain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton.

Widow of Frank Z. Baker, who died on January 5, 1996.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, Eleanora was an active member of Frieden's Lutheran Church of New Ringgold, a volunteer and officer of the Andreas Fire Company, member of Penn Mahoning Ambulance, and was a 4-H leader.

Eleanora enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader.

Born Wednesday, June 5, 1918 in East Brunswick Twp., the daughter of the late Albert Franklin, and Laura (Bachert) Rex.

Surviving are sons,
Albert F. Baker and his wife Carolyn of Werley's Coroner, Kempton,
Rex C. Baker of Chesapeake, VA,
Frank Z. Baker II and his wife Debra of Andreas;

Daughter with whom she resided, Faye E. Oliver wife of Charles of Andreas;


5 grand children;
9 great grand children;

Preceded in death by a great grandson, Brandon Rossi; brother, Charles Rex.

Arrangements are entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

Funeral service will be at 11 o'clock AM on Thursday January 22, 2015, at Friedens Lutheran Church located at 525 Church Road New Ringgold, Pennsylvania 17960, Rev. Kenneth Melber to officiate.

Friends may call in church from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.

Interment will be in Frieden's Lutheran Church Cemetery,
