Eleanor T. Lisowski

Eleanor T. (Didyoung) Lisowski, 84, of Lansford entered into eternal peace with her family by her side at St. Luke's Miner Memorial Hospital on Thursday, August 12, 2010.
Born in Shenandoah on January 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Anne (Arthur) Didyoung.
She was employed as a seamstress in the garment industry, as well as devoting most of her life to the care of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church of Lansford.
Nana, as she was fondly known by many, most of all loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble and doing crossword puzzles. She will be remembered for her gracious heart and her charming wit, and sadly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Lisowski in 2002, two brothers; Jack and Thomas Didyoung, and a sister Mary Serfass.
Surviving are her children, Suzanne Lisowski and her companion John Roberts, and Mary Beth Lisowski, all of Lansford. Three grandchildren; Sherri, Elena, and Jeanette, and four great grandchildren; Rhiannon, Lindsey, Grazia, and Vincenzo, and a sister Anne Toler.
Arrangements are being handled by Holmes - Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 200 East Bertsch Street, Lansford, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 7-8:30PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11:00AM at St. Katharine Drexel R.C. Church 124 E. Abbott St., Lansford Pa., Reverend Kenneth A. Medve officiating.
Interment will be at Sacred Heart R.C.C. Cemetery of Nesquehoning.
