Eleanor Catherine (Swilp) Ford , 82 years of age, of West Broad Street Tamaqua, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr., Hometown.
She was the widow of Kelly Ford.
Eleanor was Tamaqua High School graduate, and member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. Parish of SS. Peter & Paul. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the church for many years. Eleanor operated Eleanor's Beauty Shop in Tamaqua since 1952. She enjoyed traveling and trips to the casino.
Born in Ashley, on May 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William, and Julia (Bonsavage) Swilp.
She is survived by;
Brother:
John W. Swilp and his wife Irena of Ashland;
Nephews,
Aaron, and Matthew Swilp;
Preceded in death by a brother, Vincent Swilp; nephew Eric Swilp.
