Eleanor Yemm Behr

Eleanor (Yemm) Behr, age 86, of Patterson Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Friday, April 27, 2012, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale.

Survived by her husband of 64 years, Earl R. Behr.

Eleanor, was a 1943 Tamaqua High School graduate, and member of the schools Drum & Bugle Corp.

A homemaker, she belonged to St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua, participated in Rotarian affairs witht her husband, volunteered with theTamaqua Meals on Wheels, and American Red Cross Blood Mobile.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Alice (Kantner) Yemm.

She is also survived by her;

Three Sons,
Brad P. Behr and his wife Sandra of Denver,
Todd A. Behr and his wife Ellen of Bethlehem,
Glenn C. Behr of Tamaqua;

Eight grandchildren, Mikk, Christopher, Matthew, Meckenzie, Trevor, Glenn, Laura, Kristen;

Nieces, and nephews;

Preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Helen Swenson; brother, Paul Yemm.


Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2012 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 2, 2012.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11 o'clock AM Wednesday, May 2, 2012, Rev. Kevin Duffy-guy to officiate.

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua.
