Eleanor L. Aubrey

Eleanor L. “Nook” Aubrey, 90, of Andreas, Pa. died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in the Weatherwood Health Care and Rehab. Center, Weatherly, Pa. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert H. Aubrey in 1996. She was born in Tamaqua, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Frederickson) Neifert. Eleanor was employed as a factory worker for the former Argo Knitting Mill, Orwigsburg, Pa and the former Rohrer’s Knitting Mill, New Ringgold, until retiring in 1965. Later she and her husband co-owned the Aubrey Vending Co. of Andreas, until 1992. She was a member of the Tamaqua Legion, Post # 173, Auxiliary. Survivors includes several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was the last survivor of 11 siblings. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa. 17960, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Marjorie Keiter will officiate.
