Effie E. (Henry) Whildin, age 89, of Weatherly, formerly of Lansford, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, in Weatherly.
Widow of William R. Whildin who died in 1987.
A Summit Hill High School graduate, Effie was a member of Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church of Summit Hill.
She worked as an R.N. at Chestnut Hill Hospital before marrying and raising her family.
Effie was active in the auxillary of the American Fire Co. #1 of Lansford, and the Panther Valley Golden Agers.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late William and Effie (Coxe) Henry.
