Edward E. Shopple

Edward E Shopple, age 88, of Mahanoy St.,Tamaqua, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Palmerton, Pa.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Jean D. (Davies) Shopple in 1992.

Edward was an Army Veteran.

He had previously worked for ALCOA.

A Blythe Township High School graduate, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Born in Mary-D, he was the son of the late Andrew Shopple and the late Anna (Guzinsky) Shopple.

He is survived by

Step-Son,
Michael Kane and his wife Linda of Tamaqua and their children Jason and Heather;

Step-Daughter,
Jean Kane of Tamaqua and her daughter Jennifer Reichart;

Sister,
Frances M Lipsett wife of William of Minersville;

Nephew raised as his brother,
William Dampman and his companion Grace of Nesquehoning;

Many Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Dampman; brother, Joseph Shopple.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, PA.
