Edward T. Gallagher, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother of East Second Street, Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hopital Salisbury Twp. due to injuries sustained from a fall, at the age of 74.
Survived by his wife of 47 years, Judith A. (Houser) Gallagher; daughters, Kelli A. Reese wife of Jeffrey of Jim Thorpe, Kristi L. Gallagher of Weatherly; son, Scott E. Gallagher of Weatherly; brother, Kenneth Gallagher of Hazleton; grand children, Jadon, and Rylee Reese.
A 1962 Hazleton High School graduate, Ed served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked at Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 34 years as a machinist, and then worked an additional 10 years for Lehigh Heavy Forge in Bethlehem until retiring.
An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, Ed was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. of Weatherly. Ed enjoyed stamp collecting.
Born Monday, August 16, 1943 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania son of the late Edward J., and Anita (Barbetta) Gallagher.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock AM on Saturday from Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. located at 318 Plane Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Phiip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
