Edward A. "Digger" Miller

April 22, 1926 — December 4, 2014

Edward A. "Digger" Miller, 88 years of age, formerly of Miller Lane Lehigh Township, passed away peacefully among family on Thursday December 4, 2014 at Heritage Hill in Weatherly where he was lovingly cared for by his granddaughter Jody Hoffman.

Born in Weatherly on April 22, 1926 the only child of Emory and Martha (Gimbi) Miller.

A Weatherly High School graduate, Digger served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII having survived a kamikaze attack aboard the U.S.S. Forrest.

Digger, was an avid outdoorsmen who loved to hunt, fish, dig for arrow heads, and other Native American artifacts locally. He was the founder of Brushy Hollow Hunting Club, and loved his Boston Terriers.

Digger retired from the Hickory Run State Park and was previously employed at the Weatherly Foundry.

Edward C. Miller and his wife Michele,
Glenn A. Miller and his wife Louise,
John E. Miller and his wife Amy all of Weatherly;

Daughter,
Kathy (Miller) Peters and her husband Leonard Horwath of Beaver Meadows;

Son-in-law, Michael "Buckwheat" Hadzick husband of his deceased daughter, JoAnn (Miller ) Hadzick who passed away on March 8, 2009;

15 grandchildren;
11 great grandchildren

Private arrangements are entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania.

A Celebration of his life will be conducted privately at a later date.
