Mr. Edward T. Brimmer, age 92, of Tamaqua, died Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Mae (Sassaman) Brimmer on 7-25-2007.
Edward was an Army Corporal during WWII who served in the Persian Gulf Command stationed in Iran.
He retired from Stanley Tool, Allentown, Pa.
Edward was a member of Trinity U.C.C. of Tamaqua and the Tamaqua American Legion.
He was a graduate of the former Lansford High School and he was an avid Phila. Phillies fan.
Born in Lansford, he was the son of the late George Brimmer and the late Bertha (Ponting) Brimmer.
He is survived by his

Nancy (Brimmer) Tumas wife of John of Harrisburg, Pa.;
Two Sisters,
Roberta Brimmer of Lansford and
Nancy Dubosky wife of Daniel of Nesquehoning;
Two Brothers,
George "Bucky" Brimmer and
Thomas Brimmer both of Lansford;
Grandson,
William Tumas and his wife Tanya of Harrisburg.
Preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Brimmer; brothers, Benjamin and William.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 10:30 AM to noon.
Funeral Service with Military Honors will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 12 o'clock noon at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rev. David W. Grant to officiate.
Private Interment at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua.
