Mr. Edmund V. Gernavage, age 76, of 512 East Elm Street Tamaqua, PA., died Friday, December 28, 2007, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.. Husband to his wife of Fifty-six years Marie C. (Fucci) Gernavage

Emund was a memebr of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Pa., and a member of the church Holy Name Society. A graduate of Tamaqua High School, he worked for the Former Trojan Powder of Northampton, Pa. and retired from the former Atlas Powder Comapny of Tamaqua, Pa.

Bron in New Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Albert and Catherine (Poplosky) Gernavage.

Survived by his wife Mrs. Marie C. (Fucci) Gernavage;

One Daughter,
Miss Jeanine (Gernavage) Gernavage of Tamaqua, Pa.

One Son,
Mr. Edward T. Gernavage and his wife Carol of Langhorne, Pa.

Two Sisters,
Mrs. Doris (Gernavage) Zeller wife of Donald of New York
Mrs. Eleanor (Gernavage) Ulianna wife of David of North Carolina

Three Brothers,
Mr. Norbert Gernavage and his wife Shelia of Mary-D, Pa.
Mr. George Gernavage and his wife Joanie of Tamaqua, Pa.
Mr. Gerald Gernavage and his wife Carol of New York

Three grandchildren, Marrisa Stoudt, Shelia and Eric Gernavage;

Preceded in death by daughter, Miss Ann Marie Gernavage in 1975; brothers, Larry, Albert, Joseph, Vincent Gernavage; sister Mrs. Lidia Harrox

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pa.,

Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o'clock A.M. from church with the Rev. William Linkchorst officiating.

Interment will be at St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery in Tamaqua, Pa.
