Edith Marguerite Filoreto, beloved mother, and grand mother, 92 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, formerly of Drums, passed away on Thursday evening September 3, 2015, at Mountain Top Senior Care Facility in Mountain Top surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
Widow of the late Francis V. Filoreto who passed away on March 13, 1987.
Surviving are;
Daughter, Nancy E. (Filoreto) Marchetti wife of David of Drums;
Son,
Francis V. Filoreto, Jr. of Beaver Meadow;
Five grandchildren; Corinne Miller wife of Howie, David Marchetti and his finacee Jennifer, Melissa Marchetti, Matthew Marchetti, and Francis V. Filoreto, III;
Three great-grandchildren, Dair, Tucker, and Kendle.
A graduate of St. Ann's High School West Palm Beach Florida, Edith was a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua.
Born Saturday, February 24, 1923 in Pittston, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Paul, and Edith (Kokitas) Driesbach. Edith had one brother, Joseph Driesbach.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 o'clock AM on Tuesday March 8. 2015 from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Parish of St. John XXIII located at 301 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums, Pennsylvania.
