Earl Francis Pugh, the patriarch of the Pugh family, 91, from Weatherly, began a new adventure in his life on April 6th surrounded by his loving family having passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton Campus.
Born in Wilkes- Barre, Pennsylvania the son of the late Stanley, and Lillian (Farmer), he was also drdeceased by sisters, Mrs. Margaret McCall, Geraldine Kinney; brothers, Wilbur, Jospeh, and Stanley Pugh.
Earl proudly served our country during WWII and went on to work for the Tobyhanna Army Depot for many years before his retirement.
He will be missed very much by his family: sons Earl; Bob and his wife Debbie; John and his wife Tanna and daughter Sandi and her husband Peter. He leaves behind a legacy of eight grandchildren: Bobby, Deshanna, Jennifer, Brandon, Daniel, Erin, Emily and Christopher. As well as six great grand daughters: Brianna, Lennon, Deanna, Mikhayla, Shayna, Sarah and one great great grandchild on the way . He was predeceased by his beloved son in law Ken Marsh.
Earl was known by many for his zest for life. Never able to sit still he was always, in his own words, “Out gallivanting.” He took many vacations to the beach where he loved his early morning walks. He traveled to Savory, Wyoming with his sons on a hunting trip. Although not a hunter, he enjoyed being the camp cook and helping to track their trophies.
He adored his family, which was evident by the number of pictures scattered throughout his home. His camera went with him everywhere. Known lovingly as “Scoop” and “F-stop” there was not a moment he did not capture.
Godspeed Pop, you will always be loved and remembered.
May you forever walk peacefully on the beach at dawn as a new day begins.
