Durrell D. Delong
June 26, 1935 — February 22, 2017
Durrell D. DeLong, husband, father, and grandfather, 81 years of age of Beachwood Lodge, Ashfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at home while in the loving care of his wife of sixty years, Mae H. (Batz) DeLong.
In addition to his wife Mae, he is survived by; son, Durell D. DeLong II and his companion Mary Jane Frazee of Walnutport; daughters, Mrs. Donna Kluk wife of Joseph of West Bowmanstown, Mrs. Dovella Rehrig wife of Delroy of Lehighton; brother, Terry DeLong; sisters, Mrs. Renee Lorenz and Mrs. Debra Madensky wife of Ronald; grand children, Michele, Jonathan, and John; great grand child, Molly. Many friends also survive Durrell.
Durrell served honorably in the United States Navy, and managed many restaurants, and bars from Allentown thru New York State before taking ownership with his wife of Beechwood Lodge which they have owned for more than twenty-five years.
Durrell enjoyed visiting casino's, watching movies, dancing with his wife, and was a life long Philadelphia Eagles fan. Durrell also was a private pilot who loved to fly.
Born Wednesday, June 26, 1935 in Emmaus the son of the late Arthur, and Edna (Hartzell) DeLong. He was also predeceased by a sister, Mrs. Doris Klinikowski.
