Mrs. Dorothy M (Boyer) Reed, age 81, of Coaldale died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at St Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital in Coaldale, Pa.

Dorothy was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Weatherly and she was a housewife.

Born in New Ringgold, she was the daughter of the late (father) Charles L. Boyer and her mother Dorothy (Houser) and her husband Harold Hill. She was raised by Hattie and Isaac Houser.

She is survived by her

Sons, Eugene C. Reed and Carl A. Reed of Coaldale; Donald O. Reed, Robert F. Reed and his wife Cynthia, and Dennis E. Reed, all of Tamaqua; and Richard L. Reed and his wife Mary of Pottsville

Daughters, Tammy (Reed) Monroe of Reading, Pa. and Dorothy Handling of Arizona

sister, Donna Lee Folweiler and her husband Edward of Tamaqua

twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren

Nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Reed in 2001; brothers, Harold, Ferris, William, Richard and Gerald Hill.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6-8PM.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10:00AM at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Pastor Donald K. Adams officiating.

Interment at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pa.
