Dorothy R. Gerhard

Dorothy R. Gerhard of Packer Township, Weatherly passed away peacefully as a guest at Heritage Hill Senior Living Center in Weatherly on October 9, 2019 at 92 years of age. She was the widow of Granville G. "Dutch"  Gerhard who passed away on Sept. 18, 2011. She is survived by; daughters, Jeanne Calvi wife of Charles of Berryville, Va., Janet Gatski of Weatherly; son,  Larry Gerhard and his wife Charlotte of Weatherly; sister, Betty Dietrich of Sugarloaf, Virginia Shank of Rock Glen; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.   A 1945 graduate of Black Creek Twp, Dorothy worked for Tung-Sol in Weatherly.  She was a member of St. Matthews U.C.C, of Weatherly.  Dorothy loved tending to her home, and cooking. She reveled the role of mom and grandmother, yet never refused a chance to go shopping so as to be in style.  Born in Sugarloaf the daughter of the late Warren and Mildred (Ansbach) Zehner.   She was also predeceased by; sisters, Alma Hartranft, Evelyn Wagner, Joyce Torck; brothers, Clair, Daniel, Fred, Benjamin, Wright, and Carl Zehner. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
