Doris Mae Mack, formerly of Long Valley, New Jersey, and later, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, at 82 years of age, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
Widow of the late Roderick G. Mack, she is survived by; daughter, Susan Manach of Stroudsburg; son, Roderick G. Mack II, and his wife Jill Weber of Bar-Harbor, Maine; grandchildren, Cinnamon Querrard and her wife, Sabrina Girton, Andrew Manach, Christine Manach, Devinne Mack, and Maeve Weber; great grandchild, Naomi; son-in-law, Pierre Manach.
Born Tuesday, August 29, 1933 in Morris County New Jersey, the daughter of the late Alden and Marie (Emmons) Hoffman.
A bright student, Doris was proud that she could skip first grade, she was a graduate of Hackettstown High School. A homemaker, Doris had worked part-time jobs outside of her home. Doris especially enjoyed working in the kitchens of Long Valley Middle School and the Garland School in Chester, New Jersey. Doris enjoyed crafts, sewing Halloween costumes, cooking, and doing needle point. Doris relaxed by listening to music, dancing, and swimming. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Chester, New Jersey, and for part of her life she attended the Long Valley Presbyterian Church in Long valley, NJ, having taught Sunday School. Doris loved all animals, but her heart belonged to the family pet dogs, especially her beloved dog "Spunky".
