Doris Koons, 98 years of age of Hillside, New Jersey died on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Elizabeth Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Born Tuesday, January 3, 1922 in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William Laird Henry and the late Effie (Coxe) Henry. She was predeceased by her husband Russell Koons; daughters, Doris Kornspan and Diane Jameson, sisters, Shirley Doere and Effie E. Whildin. Doris was a graduate of Summit Hill High School and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her son in law Melvin Kornspan, 8 grand children; 3 great grand children. Private interment has been entrusted to the E.
