Doris L. Klotz-Yusella, 93 years of age passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 9, 2018 as a guest at the Hometown Nursing Home in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
Born on November 30, 1924 in Reynolds, South Tamaqua, the daughter of the late Charles and Mae (Hartraft) Steigerwalt. Doris married William B. Klotz in 1942 and spent the her early life during the war working in Tamaqua. Her husband was the first chief of police in Rush Twp. (Hometown). Doris and William had one son William R. Klotz of hometown. After the death of her husband William in 1958 she became a beautician and worked in her salon through the 50's into the 70's, putting her son through college by doing hair. In 1976 Doris married Nicholas Yusella and they spent many years enjoying their union. She and Nick frequently traveled to Las Vegas, their favorite pastime. Her biggest pleasure was spending weeks at a time with her grandson William R. Klotz and his children, Jake, Caleb, and Ava Grace Klotz who reside in Raleigh, N.C.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Doris was predeceased by her sister, Betty Steigerwalt

Funeral Services will be held on Monday May 14, 2018 at 11 o'clock from the funeral home. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
