Doris L. Fortwangler

Doris L. (Hinkle) Fortwangler, mother and grandmother, age 91, of Weatherly, died Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitaion Ctr. in Weatherly.

Widow of Robert L. Fortwangler.

A Weatherly High School graduate, Doris had worked in the Textile Industry. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Weatherly.

Doris enjoyed playing Pinochle with her friends.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mable (Stewart) Hinkle.

She is survived by her;

Son,
Barry L. Fortwangler and his wife Mary Beth of Weatherly;

Two grandchildren, Heather Moyer and her husband Jeff, and Jodi Fortwangler;
One great-grandchild, Emma Moyer;

Sister-in-law, Nancy Ebling and her husband Walter of Whitehall;

Nieces and nephews also survive her.

Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street Weatherly, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2013.

Memorial Service will be at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home at 2 o'clock PM Wednesday, November 27, 2013, Rev. Dawn Richie to officiate.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
