Mrs. Doris Mae (Hill) Coombe, age 81, of Mahoning Dr., Lehighton, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Lehighton Campus.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold R. Coombe.
She was a member of St Peter's Union Church, Mantzville and a member of their Women's Guild.
Doris was a Lehighton High School graduate.
She was a homemaker.
Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Hill and the late Treva (Rex) Hill.
She is also survived by her
One Son,
Scott Coombe and his wife Charlene of Andreas;
Three grandsons who affectionately called her "Mammy in Lehighton", Chris and his wife Erin, Daniel and Shane.
Preceded in death by her sister, Fern Schock.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM, and on the morning of services from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11 o'clock AM at the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Pastor Cheryl Moore to officiate.
Interment at St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Mantzville, Pa.
Memorials in her honor may be sent to St. Peter's Union Church Building Fund 184 St. Peter's Church Rd., Tamaqua, PA 18252.
