Donald Gerhard, devoted husband and father, 72 years of age of College Ave. Wernersville, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at home surrounded by his family.
Survived by his wife of fifty years, Bonnie C. (Briese) Gerhard; son, Keith A. Gerhard and his wife Terri of Forked River, NJ,; brothers, Steve L. Gerhard of Ohio and Gary Gerhard of Weatherly; sisters, Mrs. Rosann Leinninger wife of Edward of Weatherly, and Mrs. Doreen Smith-Wrona of Hazleton.
A Weatherly High School graduate class of 1961. Donald served honorably in the United States Army. Donald retired from Hofmann Industries in Sinking Springs as a Tube Mill Operator.
Donald was a member of Mohnton Fish & Game Club, and was an avid Bowler in the A.B.C. Bowling League. Donald also enjoyed golfing.
Born Tuesday, February 2, 1943 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania., son of the late Charles F. "Steve" and Doreen (Koehler) Gerhard.
Preceded in death by brother, Jan Gerhard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
Memorial Service will be at 11 o'clock A.M. on Thursday August 13, 2015 from the funeral home, Rev. Charles Englehart to officiate.
A Gathering of Friends shall occur on Thursday morning August 13, 2015 at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment with Military Honors Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania Friday 2 o'clock P.M.
