Donald L. "Donny" Mclaughlin

Donald L. " Donny" McLaughlin, husband, father, and grandfather, age 75, of Tamaqua, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospice in Bethlehem, surrounded by his family.
Survived by his wife of 49 years, Jayne I. (Barron) McLaughlin.
Donny, was a member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp. He attended Tamaqua Schools.
Enlisting in the United States Marine Corp at 17 yrs of age, he served meritoriously during the Korean War until his discharge in 1963, earning the rank of Cpl.
Upon returning home Donny worked 35 years for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and then worked for Country Junction of Lehighton after retiring.
He was a member of the Lansford AmVets, and Tamaqua American Legion.
Born in Coaldale, the son of the late John and Miriam (Roberts) McLaughlin.
He is also survived by his;

Two Sons,
Robert D. McLaughlin of Douglassville,
D.J. McLaughlin of Tamaqua;
Three Sisters,
Illomay (McLaughlin) Nelson of Tamaqua,
Janice (McLaughlin) Snyder wife of Donald of Tamaqua,
Miriam (McLaughlin) Fegley wife of Don of New Ringgold;
Four grandchildren, Doug Miller and his fiancee Alexis Miller, Jennifer Balliet and her husband Steve, Collin, and Erik McLaughlin;
Many in-laws, nieces, and nephews also survive Donny

Memorial Service will be held Sat. September 15, 2012 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the Robert S. Nester F.H., Inc. New Ringgold, Pa. 17960, Rev. Michael A. Frost to officiate.
Friends may call Friday evening Sept. 14, 2012 at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 P.M., and on the morning of from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
Interment with Military Honors will be at Zion Stone Church Cemetery of West Penn Twp.
