Dolores A. "Boots" Erbe

Dolores A. "Boots" Erbe, beloved wife, mother, sister, and nanny, 85 years of age of West Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospice Bethlehem, with her family by her side.
Survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Lewis H. Erbe; son, Lewis M. Erbe, and his wife Tana of Rising Sun, MD; daughters, Lewann Neifert wife of Bruce of Canton, Susan L. Schlosser wife of Bob of Elizabethtown, Lore McLaughlin wife of John of Andreas, MaryLou Portz wife of the late John "Jocko" of Elizabethtown, Lisa M. Gerber wife of Rob of Tamaqua, Karen L. Bankler wife of Barry of Lancaster; sisters, Mrs. Mary L. Garrison of Hershey, and Mrs. Mildred Harahus; brother, Mr. John Marcin and his wife Frances of Tamaqua; nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann Marcin of Tamaqua.
A 1948 St. Jerome High School graduate, Boots was an active member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua having served as an Eucharistic minister and lector. A home maker, she enjoyed walking the town daily with Lew.
Born Thursday, January 29, 1931 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Michael A., and Bernatta (Stahler) Marcin. She was also predeceased by sister, Mrs. Grace Faust,; brother, Joseph Marcin.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock AM on Tuesday June 21, 2016 from St John XXIII R.C.C. located at 264 W Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252, Monsignor William F. Glosser to officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 20, 2016, at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 655 E Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
No morning calling hours.
Interment will be in St. Jerome's RC Cemetery, Tamaqua.
