Dennis J. Ryan, age 66, of East Broad Street, Tamaqua, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenburg Campus.
Survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna L. (Boyle) Ryan.
A 1965 Tamaqua High School graduate, Dennis was an accomplished athlete. Upon graduation he served in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam Conflict.
Dennis worked as a Route Driver for U.P.S. for over thirty years.
He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua, and was an avid outdoorsman.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Jack and Rosemary (Curran) Ferry.
He is also survived by his:
Two Daughters,
Annmarie Nortavage and her companion Nicholas Digiglio of Mary-D,
Maryann (Ryan) Kopp wife of Nicholas of Tamaqua;
Two Sons,
Joseph Nortavage of Tamaqua,
Dennis J. Ryan, Jr. and his wife Emily of Tamaqua;
Three Brothers,
George Ferry and his wife Lisa,
John Ferry,
Thomas Ferry all of Tamaqua;
Nine grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his grand daughters, Destiny Lynn Ryan, and Haley May Kopp.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2013.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 1, 2013, Rev. william Linkchorst to officiate.
