David J. Strmensky, age 38, of Porter Street Tuscarora, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at St. Luke Medical Ctr, Bethlehem.
David was a 1993 Tamaqua High School graduate, and graduate of Stevens Trade School of Lancaster. He served in the United states Army during the Iraq War.
David was an auto body repairman.
Born in Pottsville, he is the son of David P. Strmensky of Tamaqua, and the late Linda (Marcovich) Strmensky, who died in 1986.
He is also survived by his
Two Sisters,
Sonia (Strmensky) Pucklavage and her husband David of Tamaqua,
Nissa Strmensky of Minersville;
Three nieces;
Maternal grandmother, Mrs. Leona Marcovich of Tuscarora
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on December 22, 2012 at 10 o'clock A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252, Rev. William Linkchorst to officiate.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday, December 22, 2012 in church.
Interment with Military Honors St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery of Tamaqua.
Memorials in David's name will be accepted by the family at: 15 Sibilla Way, Tamaqua, Pa. 18252, to help with the burial. Any remaining monetary donations will be sent to Miller Memorial Blood Bank of Allentown. Additionally, family has requested blood donations to Miller Memorial Blood Bank or a local blood bank in his name.
