David Herring, 61 years old of Phoenix, AZ, was killed due to a motor vehicle accident May 12, 2017.
David was born October 16, 1956, Coaldale PA, to William and Elizabeth Herring. He was their youngest of 3 sons. He was raised in Hightstown, NJ, where he lived until 1976, when he moved to Alaska. David was a passionate outdoors man. He moved to Alaska to be with his older brothers, where he thrived fishing, hunting and camping.
David was a devoted caregiver to his mother and father from November 2008, until his untimely death.
David is survived by his brother Donald Herring, Phoenix, AZ. His 5 nieces and nephews, 7 Great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, July 28, 2012, his brother Dennis, Nov. 15, 2008. David's mother passed away 3 short months after his death and will be interred the same day as her son.
Memorial Service will be Saturday September 30 at 11 o'clock AM, at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 655 E. Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA.
Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
