David C. "George" Steigerwalt

David C. "George" Steigerwalt, age 52, of New Ringgold, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at home surrounded by his family.

Survived by his wife of six years, Peggy A. (Burnet) Yorgey-Steigerwalt

A 1978 Blue Mountain High School graduate, George retired due to illness from Lehigh Asphalt Paving & Construction of Andreas in 2012 after 34 years of service.

Born in Allentown,he is the son of the late Marvin, and Pauline (Blum) Steigerwalt.

He is also survived by his,

Step daughter, Lori Chinchar of Tamaqua;

Step son, Michael Yorgey and his wife Charlotte of New Ringgold;

Brother, Gerald Steigerwalt of Lansford;

Step brother, Paul Kitchen of Torrence, Ca.;

Step grandchildren, Daniel Chinchar, III, and Kailynn Yorgey;

Step mother, Charlotte (Blew) Steigerwalt - Moyer, and her husband Donald of New Ringgold.

Preceded in death by a step brother, Scott Kitchen.

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte, #309, New Ringgold Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 31, 2012.

Funeral service will be at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 1, 2012.

Interment will be at Zion Stone Church Cemetery of West Penn Twp..
