Daniel R Kimmel, age 86, of S. Lehigh Gorge Dr., Weatherly, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Celtic Hospice Geisinger South in Wilkes Barre, PA.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen (Miller) Kimmel.
Daniel retired in 1991 from PP & L Maintenance after 27 years of service.
He was a member of Salem U.C.C. of Weatherly and a member of the Hazle, Azela, Fellowship Lodge #327 of Free and Accepted Masons.
He was a Foster Township High School graduate.
Born in Eckley on 8/23/1929, he was the son of the late Rudolph Kimmel and the late Mary (Horwath) Kimmel.
He is also survived by his
Son,
Richard Kimmel and his wife Susan of Wappinger Falls, NY;
Brother,
Raymond Kimmel and his wife Gertrude of Weatherly;
Two Grandchildren,
Jeffrey and Sarah.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen I. Kimmel; brother, Eugene Kimmel; sister, Lorraine Sauers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 2-27-2016 at 2 PM at the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Service Weatherly.
Friends may call from 1 PM until time of services.
Rev. Donald J. Stump Sr. will Officiate.
